My Understanding of Psychology
More than 30 years ago, I decided to dedicate my life to supporting people going through difficult times. Since then, I have worked with a very clear goal: to provide a safe space where each person can understand what they are going through, regain their emotional balance, and move toward a life of greater well-being.
Throughout my career, I have worked with people experiencing anxiety, depression, stress, family difficulties, eating disorders, traumatic experiences, and other emotional challenges. Every person’s story is different, which is why I tailor the therapeutic process to each person’s needs, using the techniques and tools that best suit their situation.
I believe in a warm, professional, and respectful approach to psychology. My priority is to ensure that, from the very first session, you find a safe space where you can feel heard, understood, and supported—without judgment and at your own pace.
Because every journey is unique and deserves to be experienced with the peace of mind that comes from knowing you don’t have to go through it alone.
A career built on experience and ongoing training
My professional career has spanned Spain and England, where I worked as a psychologist for 9 years. This experience allows me to provide seamless care to English-speaking individuals, expatriates, and the international community living in Málaga.
My approach integrates various psychological models to tailor treatment to each person’s needs. I am trained in psychodynamic and psychoanalytic psychotherapy, cognitive-behavioral therapy, systemic therapy, the humanistic approach, and EMDR.
This holistic approach allows me to offer personalized, evidence-based, and person-centered care, creating a safe space where clients can understand their distress, develop resources, and foster profound and lasting change.

Frequently Asked Questions About Psychological Therapy
If you’re thinking about starting therapy, it’s normal to have questions. Here you’ll find answers to some of the most common questions about sessions, online and in-person options, the duration of treatment, and what the initial consultation is like.
How do I know if I need to see a psychologist?
You don’t have to wait until your distress becomes very intense to seek help. If you feel that anxiety, stress, sadness, relationship problems, or any other situation is affecting your well-being or your daily life, therapy can help you understand what’s going on and find tools to cope with it.
What's the first session like?
The first session is an opportunity for us to get to know each other and understand your situation. We’ll discuss the reason for your visit, your needs, and the goals you’d like to achieve. You’ll also have the chance to ask any questions you may have about the therapeutic process before we begin.
Can the sessions be held online?
Yes. You can receive therapy in person at the office in Málaga or through online sessions via video call. Both options offer professional, personalized, and completely confidential support.
How long does a session last, and how often are they held?
Sessions last approximately 60 minutes. The frequency will depend on each individual case, although it is common to start with one session per week and then adjust the schedule based on each person’s progress and needs.
Is all the information confidential?
Yes. Everything you share during the sessions is protected by professional confidentiality and current data protection regulations. The counseling session is a safe space where you can express yourself with complete freedom and confidence.
What kinds of issues can I work on in therapy?
Therapy can help you cope with situations such as anxiety, stress, depression, low self-esteem, relationship difficulties, family problems, grief, eating disorders, and other times of change or emotional distress. Each therapy process is tailored to the individual’s needs and goals.
